In this project we aim to replicate the findings from de Groot & Schuitema’s (2012) paper “How to make the unpopular popular? Policy characteristics, social norms and the acceptability of environmental policies” in a German sample. We focus on three factors representing characteristics of environmental policy, namely policy coerciveness, behavioral target and social norms, and we are interested in how much they influence policy acceptability ratings.
